Bulgaria Paedophile In Shooting Rampage
| 13 March 2008 |
The attacker was identified as Assen Iliev, 67, who had a previous conviction for raping a child who lived in the same orphanage in 1990s where Wednesday's attack occurred.
The victim, Lilyana Todorova, had testified in a case against Iliev over the rape of another girl who was wounded in Thursday’s shooting and who was identified as Klara, 15.
She and the second injured child, Emil, 12, were reported to be in a stable condition.
Iliev was also reportedly at odds with Nikola Dinev, a former teacher at the orphanage who was also jailed for paedophilia.
After being found guilty, Dinev was sacked from his post. During the investigation into his crimes, children from the orphanage told reporters Iliev offered them money to have sex with him.

Radovan Karadzic, Sarajevo is not your city, and you have no right to say that it is, just as you do not have the right to say in public, even if it’s in court, that someone has dug up bones around Bosnia and brought them to Srebrenica to make a fake graveyard. This is insulting.
