In a text entitled “No vaccination against climate change”, the daily analyses the causes of pollution in Macedonia. The high emissions of green house gasses in the country are largely due to the use of low quality coal in the production of electricity, experts explain.

As of the beginning of next year, high taxes will be slashed on more than 400 import products due to an agreement the country has signed with the World Trade Organisation. Although this should automatically lower retail prices, vendors are skeptical. They say that they would much rather use the difference in tax to cover their already high expenses and improve low profits.
