Little Snow Threatens Bulgaria Ski Season
Sofia | 09 December 2009 |
Tourist organisers who are gearing themselves for the inauguration of the season on 12 December, are hoping for a significant drop in temperatures and large snow falls in the coming days.
While snow makers have been hard at work when the temperature drops below zero, quantities are far from sufficient,.
But weather forecasts predict only light to moderate snow fall on all slopes but the very high ones that are not yet ready for skiers.
This month's inauguration ceremony will be staged on Bunderishka Polyana ski centre. Former Olympic and world champions will show off in a slalom race that will be broadcast to private and public TV.

The issue of national identity is taken seriously by Balkan people – including the least serious among them.
