Illegal Gambling Rampant in Albania

The operation conducted over the weekend inspected over 260 parlous around the country. Roughly 65 parlors lacked the necessary license for their operations. The police, aided also by the financial auditors from tax authorities, sequestered 400 electronic gambling machines.
Gambling has soared in Albania in recent years. According to tax recods Albanians spent more than 66 million euro on gambling in 2008, an increase of almost 70 per cent from the previous year.
Earlier this year the Finance Ministry founded a government body to monitor gaming, which is also suspected of being abused by money launderers.




Radovan Karadzic, Sarajevo is not your city, and you have no right to say that it is, just as you do not have the right to say in public, even if it’s in court, that someone has dug up bones around Bosnia and brought them to Srebrenica to make a fake graveyard. This is insulting.
