Bosnia’s Press Review – November 27

Here are the top stories in Bosnia and Herzegovina's main newspapers. Balkan Insight has not verified the reports and cannot vouch for their accuracy.
GLAS SRPSKE
Serbian President Boris Tadic said in a press statement that he disagrees with opinions of many local, regional and international leaders that the Premier of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is working towards the dissolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tadic said that Dodik has a right to defend Republika Srpska's legitimate interests.
NEZAVISNE NOVINE
Bosnian Serb deputy speaker of the Bosnian House of Peoples, Dusanka Majkic, received more than 200 phone calls, including 150 threats to her life, during a TV debate on Wednesday evening. The program was about Bosnian state holidays as political representatives of the three main ethnic groups in Bosnia for years now fail to agree on dates that could be celebrated as joint holidays. During the debate, Majkic strongly clashed with other participants in the show.
Sarajevo daily newspapers, like Dnevni Avaz and Oslobodjenje, were not in print on Friday due to the Muslim holiday of Kurban Bayram.

The issue of national identity is taken seriously by Balkan people – including the least serious among them.
