Kosovo’s Ministry of Health has reported for the fourth victim of swine flu in Kosovo who died on Wednesday morning.

A 36-year-old male from Gjilan, who was not suffering from any other illness.
“In the infective clinic we have 65 patients positive with H1N1. One of them, a child, is in a critical condition,” Shemsedin Dreshaj, director of infective clinic in Priostina hospital, told Balkan Insight.
He added that there are 118 people in Kosovo positively confirmed with H1N1 since July 2009.
The Ministry of Health has recently received a donation of 5,000 vaccines against swine flu from Turkey. The medical staff were set as a first priority group to be vaccinated. Dreshaj said that no one from his medical staff has agreed to take the vaccine. “They hesitate to take the vaccine because of the (presumed) side effects,” said Dreshaj.
The working group for the management of the pandemic calls on all Kosovo people to be cautious and respect the preventive measures.
