The drug estimated to have a street value of about 2 million euros was discovered in a specialised trunk of a vehicle, which drove from Turkey through Greece.

Eight Macedonian citizens were detained in the operation dubbed“ Bosphorus”.

“In the last four operations, as well as the last one, the “Bosphorus” operation seized over 230 kg of heroine, worth over 8.4 million euros,” Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska said at a press conference.

All the busts were done in cooperation with the Turkish police, Jankulovska said. The goal was to cut the drug channels leading to western European black markets.
