The fear of swine flu has closed the elementary school Goce Delcev in Skopje after three of its students were diagnosed with the influenza. Only seven students appeared on class yesterday, the daily reveals. From the 107 infected in the country, 85 per cent are in the capital Skopje.

The torrential rains have raised the level of several rivers in western Macedonia and flooded many houses there, the daily says. The meteorologists warn that the rains are not over yet. The hydrologists on the other hand say the dams in the region will be able to hold the coming waters.

More and more signals point out that on 7 December, at the EU council, Macedonia will not get a date for start of its EU accession talks due to a Greek veto over the name row. Scenarios for handling the problem afterwards are already being considered, the daily says.




Radovan Karadzic, Sarajevo is not your city, and you have no right to say that it is, just as you do not have the right to say in public, even if it’s in court, that someone has dug up bones around Bosnia and brought them to Srebrenica to make a fake graveyard. This is insulting.
