Serbia, Israel Sign Law Enforcement Pact
Belgrade | 29 October 2009 | Bojana Barlovac
Beta news agency reports that the agreement deals with the fight against drug and human trafficking, terrorism and organised crime.
Dacic said the pact would be of utility as both Serbia and Israel need to maintain strong police forces due to the difficult period the two countries are going through.
The Israeli minister said his country needed to extend its cooperation with Serbia as organised crime knows no borders.
Prior to signing the agreement, Dacic met with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who confirmed that Israel will not recognise Kosovo's independence declaration.
Lieberman visited Serbia in September; a trip that saw the signing of a visa-free travel agreement.
Quoted by AP, Lieberman said earlier that Israel has a "history of friendly relations" with Serbia, adding that Serbs and Jews fought together against the Nazis.

The issue of national identity is taken seriously by Balkan people – including the least serious among them.
