Novinite reports that a manhunt was launched to find the couple after they were identified during an operation on Sunday to interdict people smuggling at the Kulata border crossing between Bulgaria and Greece
They are now undergoing questioned, having been formally charged with smuggling pregnant women across the border for the sale of their babies.
The probe into the alleged trafficking ring reportedly uncovered three instances in which mothers sold their newborns, Novinite reports. The couple were paid 5-10,000 euros for organising the handover in each case, it's claimed.

The issue of national identity is taken seriously by Balkan people – including the least serious among them.
