Macedonia will have to wait until this fall for word on whether European Union visa liberalization for its citizens will be applicable from the start of the next year. The exact date should be additionally determined by the Council of Europe.
UTRINSKI VESNIK
Only two factories that were opened in the country as green field investments came out so far from the big investment boom announced by the government. It is becoming more certain that this year there will be no major foreign investments worth bragging about.
VREME
This year’s tourist season is disappointing. The small number of tourists who by mid-July had visited Ohrid, Macedonia’s prime tourist destination, bodes ill for the season.
