Serbia, Croatia to Discuss Airline Permits
Belgrade | 08 July 2009 |
"I expect the deal will be reached and JAT will be granted the permits," Mrkonjic was quoted as saying.
Serbia's JAT airways has asked Croatian authorities to permit flights from Belgrade to Dubrovnik this summer, but has so far been granted only temporary licenses for two flights on July 2 and July 6. Some 800 tickets were sold for those flights.
Licenses for additional flights will be discussed during meetings held next week.
The Belgrade-Dubrovnik flights were re-established last week after 18 years. The flights between the two countries were canceled in 1991 at the outbreak of war in the former Yugoslavia.
