| 06 July 2009 |The first case of the A (H1N1) virus is confirmed in the Bosniak- and Bosnian Croat-dominated Federation entity in the city of Ljubuski in a woman who arrived in the country from Australia. One more case of the swine flu was suspected in Sarajevo, but analysis results tested negative for the virus.

After one man was arrested in Bijeljina for alleged war crimes, associations from Srebrenica announced they may cancel this year's funeral ceremony in Potocari. Midhat Salihovic, a Srebrebnica survivor living in the EU, was returning home for the funeral by car when police at the border near Bijeljina arrested him on suspicion of war crimes. Associations from Srebrenica claim that the arrest is an attempt by authorities in the Bosnian Serb-dominated entity of Republika Srpska to scare people away from the funeral ceremony. At Potocari this year, on July 11, the remains of 500 people killed during the 1995 Srebrenica genocide will be buried.

The happiest people on the earth are living in Cotarica and on the global list of happy nations Bosnia and Herzegovina is on 65 place of 143, said The New Economics Fondation from UK. According to the same survey, more happy then in Bosnia are whose who are living in neighboring Croatia and Serbia, 58 and 60th place, and less happy are people in Slovenia and Macedonia.

According to BHMAC team, from 1996 until today, 1667 citizens and 94 professionals who were working on demining, were victims of mines in Bosnia and Herzegovina. From this number, 486 died after injuries. During last year, there was 39 victims and 19 of them died.




The issue of national identity is taken seriously by Balkan people – including the least serious among them.
