Sarajevo is not your city, Mr Karadzic, but mine

02 March 2010 | By Nidzara Ahmetasevic

Radovan Karadzic Radovan Karadzic, Sarajevo is not your city, and you have no right to say that it is, just as you do not have the right to say in public, even if it’s in court, that someone has dug up bones around Bosnia and brought them to Srebrenica to make a fake graveyard. This is insulting.

More Kosovo Recognitions 'Soon'

| 14 November 2008 |

Pristina _ Kosovo's Foreign Minister Skender Hyseni has met ambassadors of countries that haven’t yet recognised the newborn country and has been promised that these countries will seriously consider recognition.

Hyseni has asked Apostolic Nuncio Celestino Migllore, the permanent representative of the Vatican at the United Nations, to take steps to secure Vatican recognition in light of the progress that has been made in Kosovo.

“This would be an important decision for the Republic of Kosovo, because the Vatican is a centre to unify people,” Hyseni said.

Meanwhile, Mozambique Ambassador Filipe Chidumo has stated that his government is monitoring developments, and that it “understands Kosovo’s people’s will for freedom and independence.”

Hyseni said he has received promises of imminent recognition from Micronesia, East Timor, and Oman.

Kosovo declared independence in February 17. Until now, it has been recognised by 52 states around the world.

congradulations, once again the smallest nations in the world with no political significance promise to recognise kosovo,

2008-11-17 15:51:41
Hey Srdjan, everyone is important man. We already have the most "important" (according to your way of thinking) countries on our side, but we value every nation. I know Serbia likes to deal only with big, hard, tough countries, but you have to understand, size doesn't matter man. It's also about quality not quantity. Most freedom-loving nations have recognized us. We're going to say thanks, but no thanks to Myanmar, Belorus, Libya, North Korea, and Zimbabwe.

More Kosovo recognitions?

Unvelievable. Al-Qaeda going for the Catholic vote now (Vatican). Do they think that Mother Teresa can produce this miracle as well? They certainly have used her as much as they could. BTW Ilir, It's the Albanians who have belittled all the countries which have not recognized them, and now you act like you think all the countries are important to you. Why rubbish countries like Belarus etc. if you think they are all equal? I have read many posts from Albanians rubishing countries which have not recognized them.

The greatest has recognized Kosova!
2008-12-12 02:09:55
The greatest countries: G7 : USA, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, France, Italy has recognized oss plus all of our neighbours, minus Serbia! We like all the nations but dislike some of the regimes of some countries who are surpressing lots of people like China, India, Indonesia, Bjellarus, Serbia etc. You "Peggy", are full of hate whwn you call oss for All-Qaeda! We are freedomloving people and are both muslims and catolics and have big tolerance when it comme to religion!

i dont know i just cant figure it out why all those worries about recognition of Kosova it's done and it's over newborn is becoming a UN member next by this time of 2009 so it isnt even a matter of time anymore and as for serbs i can really understand how long will it take them to realize that it has been enough selfpunishment its time to open the eyes and start creating a new democratic society their radicalism is only lowering down the chances for EU membership. as the Kosova serbians matter they have everything they cant get in serbia there is no single serbian who can get emplyed in Kosova whereas in Serbia unemployment is getting higher and higher. Serbian government is just playing with them lol stop it leave people alone or vojvodina and bujanovc are next.

Kosovo

What did you achieve actually? Kosovo is not in the UN and not recognised by the majority of countries worldwide. THUS it's not an independent country, and it can't become EU-member, since even many EU-countries do not recognise Kosovo. Moreover, Serbs in the north don't recognise independence either, still use Serbian money, still live according to Serbian laws. Even a part of your own "country" doesn't recognise independence!
