BIRN Statement on Reaction to Article: The Coyote’s Trail

Bulgarian Industrial Engineering and Management, BIEM, has requested that we publish a letter in response to the above article.

Under article 83 of Serbian Law on Public Information and Media, we are required to publish an unamended right-to reply. 

BIRN would like to note that over a period of nine months, our reporters provided BIEM with three opportunities to comment on this story prior to publication. This letter represents the first time the firm has provided any substantive information.

BIRN also notes that since publication, Serbia’s Ministry of Trade has confirmed that BIEM was the buyer named on the export licence in the deal to send 205 M02 Coyotes from Zastava Arms to Saudi Arabia.
