Who is Who in the Kosovo Elections

Balkan Insight provides a brief description of all the parties and coalitions competing in the June general elections.

Kosovo’s elections are marked by grand pre-election coalitions for the first time in the history of multi-party elections in the country, which began in 2000.

These coalitions consist of the same political players, but have restored the old division of the political scene into “War” and “Peace” wing parties.

These parties will compete for 100 seats in parliament. In addition, 25 parties from minority communities will compete for 20 guaranteed seats, making a total of 120 seats. The snap general election are set for June 11.
