US Ambassador to Attend Bulgaria Pride Parade
US Ambassador to Bulgaria, James Warlick, is scheduled to participate in the Sofia Pride LGBT parade.

Ambassador Warlick told the bTV private channel that a "homosexual community exists in Bulgaria and it should be treated with respect and dignity. This is the message this parade is sending”.
He noted that Bulgaria is known for its tolerance and encouraged citizens to attend the gay pride parade, which is planned for June 30.
The US Embassy traditionally supports the parade. In recent weeks, US President Barack Obama officially endorsed marriage rights for same-sex couples.
