Serbian imports to Montenegro accounted for €480 million while Montenegrin exports accounted for €60 million, according to the latest figures from Monstat, Montenegro’s Statistics Office.
Montenegro's total trade in the first eight months of this year was €1.69 billion, representing a or 16.5 per cent rise over the same period last year, Monstat’s figures showed.
Montenegro's overall exports in the January-August period were worth €331 million, or 44.7 per cent more than last year, while imports added up to €1.36 billion 11.2 per cent more than in the same period of 2010.
While the EU accession process has not affected the media’s existential struggle for survival one way or the other, they have made respect for human and minority rights more mainstream.
