Corneliu Vadim Tudor, one of the most influential extremist politician after 1990 and founder of Greater Romania Party, PRM, died on Monday at age 65.

GANDUL
A local court has decided that Sorin Oprescu, the influential mayor of Bucharest, to remain in prison on suspicion that he took bribes of around 25,000 euro.

REALITATEA
The school dropout rate in Romania was among the highest ones in Europe last year, as 18% of the young people aged between 15 and 18 dropped out of any form of education.
