Montenegro's GDP in 2010 was 2.5 per cent higher than at the end of 2009 and amounted to €3.1 billion, Montenegro's Statistic's Office MONSTAT has revealed.
The Montenegrin Government previously projected economic growth of 0.5 per cent in 2010 while international financial institutions estimated that growth might be around 2 per cent.
In April last year Montenegro's Central Bank estimated that GDP in 2010 grew between 1 and 2 per cent. The year before, in 2009, GDP in Montenegro fell 5.7 percent. At the time, this was the worst figure in the region.
