The Montenegrin Government previously projected economic growth of 0.5 per cent in 2010 while international financial institutions estimated that growth might be around 2 per cent.

In April last year Montenegro's Central Bank estimated that GDP in 2010 grew between 1 and 2 per cent. The year before, in 2009, GDP in Montenegro fell 5.7 percent. At the time, this was the worst figure in the region.
