Sofia should include an official declaration in the Skopje-Sofia friendship treaty in which it recognizes the existence of the Macedonian nation and language, the organisation of Macedonians in Bulgaria “OMO Ilinden-Pirin” said in a press release.

UTRINSKI VESNIK

The spring sun has melted the total ban on smoking. Cafes owners have started setting up outdoor tables where smoking is allowed in accordance with the recent amendments to the law, which loosened the ban and allowed smoking on summer terraces.

VREME

The forthcoming Macedonian six month presidency of the Council of Europe will represent a test of Greece’s willingness to accept the use of the word Macedonian in international bodies, the daily says. According to the Macedonian representatives, Skopje will try to introduce the term “Macedonian presidency”.
