DNEVNIK

A heat wave with temperatures up to 39 degrees Celsius is expected to hit the country in the next few days,  meteorologists said yesterday. The peak of the wave will strike on Monday and Tuesday. The most critical situation is expected in the capital Skopje, and in the towns of Kumanovo, Veles, Gevgelija and Kavadarci.

UTRINSKI VESNIK

Macedonians are uncertain which foreign currency to trust, the dollar or the euro. It is clear that Macedonians still mostly trust the euro and have not been changing their bank deposits into dollars. Nevertheless, due to the recent drop of value of the European currency the demand for dollars has increased slightly, bankers and economists say.

VREME

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski might get a more “decent” proposal for solving the name row in the the near future, the daily writes, citing unnamed diplomats.

According to the daily's sources several foreign ambassadors have proposed the name 'Republic of Northern Macedonia', but without an obligation for the some 120 countries that have already recognised the country's official name, Republic of Macedonia, to change their stance.
