Today’s start of the second semester in elementary schools does not mean the start of Macedonian language classes for ethnic Albanian first graders, despite the firm stand of the Ministry of Education, which has ordered that Macedonian langauge classes begin in the first grade, rather than the third grade. The Ministry faces a silent boycott.

Macedonia this year will add eight additional economic promoters to the existing 24 spread across the globe in hope of attracting fresh investors. The new staff will sell the Macedonian story in the United Kingdom, Belgium, South Korea, Denmark, the United States, and Canada. Two of them will cover two countries each, one for Serbia and Bulgaria, and one for Croatia and Slovenia.
VREME
Macedonian news editor Dragan Pavlovic-Latas has been issued a formal 'certificate' from the Interior Ministry, stating that he is not a spy. He suspects the leader of the opposition party United Macedonia and ex-police minister Ljube Boskoski of being behind allegations that he has been a spy for Serbia since the time of Slobodan Milosevic. Boskoski claims to have documents confirming Latas’ link with the Serbian intelligence service.
