Macedonia yesterday did not get the date for start of its EU accession talks. EU foreign ministers postponed a decision after Greece opposed the move. The issue will be discussed again during the Spanish EU presidency that starts on 1 January, 2010.

For Macedonia Brussels turned out to be another Bucharest, the daily writes saying that the Swedish EU presidency failed in convincing Greece to accept even a deadline for issuing the accession talks date to Macedonia.

We have hit the Greek wall for the second time, the newspaper says. The EU Council of Ministers did not set a start date for Macedonia’s accession talks.
