DNEVNIK
As of the start of next year the higher prices for electricity and heating will cause a series of other products prices to go up as well, local observers say. The regulatory commission decided to raise the price of electricity for 10 percent and of central heating for almost 8 percent.

UTRINSKI VESNIK
One of the biggest steel producing plants in the country, Maksteel sassed production yesterday due to lack of demand. Some 1000 workers are now on leave and the management announces they will gradually restart production after the holidays.

VREME
The controversial state funded Macedonian Encyclopaedia is getting competition. A group of Albanian intellectuals in the country are launching their own encyclopaedia in which they claim that Alexander the Great was neither Greek nor Macedonian but Albanian.
