The Agency for Foreign Investors is seeking eight new economic promoters that will be sent to eight countries worldwide. But the daily says the initiative comes despite the fact the existing 23 who were sent in 2008 have produced little and the country is at the bottom of the index for Foreign Direct Investment in the region.

The main pillar of Macedonia’s foreign policy in the past two decades - good relations with the USA - is beginning to crumble under the influence of the patriotic struggle for the preservation of Macedonia’s name. The daily blames the government, saying it was hypocritical of the Macedonian FM, Martin Trenevski, to ask the US to lobby in support of the country’s entry to NATO, given his remarks before parliament this summer which were widely seen as being anti-NATO.

There is no trace of the monuments of prominent Albanian figures that the government's coalition partners said they agreed to have erected in the centre of the Macedonian capital as part of the revamp project “Skopje 2014” the daily says. Five months ago, PM Nikloa Gruevski and his junior partner, Ali Ahmeti of the ethnic Albanian party, the Democratic Union for Integration, DUI, said they agreed to add Albanians in to the state-run project. But Albanians, who make a quarter of the population, have yet to see any sign of their Albanian historical figures being incorporated into the project.
