Kosovo’s New Power Plant is an Expensive Mistake

The contract for the New Kosova coal-fired power plant is a monumental error – for which the people of Kosovo will be paying, in various ways, for the next six decades.

Two weeks ago, Kosovo’s Economy Minister Valdrin Lluka published the agreement that he signed on behalf of Kosovo Government to build the country’s new coal-fired power plant, called New Kosova.

This is a huge economic, financial and environmental mistake, which the consequences of will be felt for 60 years at least.

The agreement does not benefit the people of Kosovo and goes against the country’s economic development.

The government has colluded and collaborated with PRONTO clan – the group at the centre of the affair that haunted the previous government and revealed how party activists are appointed to positions in public companies.
