The opposition Self-Determination Movement, determined to bring down the government. LDK and AAK are afraid on early elections, before solving their internal problems.

Vetevendosje (Self-Determination) leader Albin Kurti says he is determined to overthrow the current government, so that the country prospers. During the partiy Congress, Kurti said that “Thaci’s regime” should fall, since it costs heavily to the economical, political and social wellbeing. He said that Kosovo losses time with the current government leading it.

Millions of euros are suspected to be laundered in Kosovo during one year. It is believed that it all goes into real-estate, restaurants and casinos. This is how the European Commission Progress Report raises the alarm that a limited progress was made by the authorities in this regard. The paper notes that no assets were ever confiscated to any suspect.

The ruling coalition Kosovo’s Democratic Party (PDK) and the Alliance for the New Kosovo (AKR), can continue governing without being at risk by the opposition. Kosovo’s Democratic League (LDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) are not ready yet to join Self-Determination’s initiated to overthrow the Thaci 2 government. Analysts claim that the LDK and AAK have to solve their internal issues without agreeing for early elections.
