Serbia has been hit by a political quake, after the results of the second round of presidential elections showed Tomislav Nikolic won the race.

Nikolic wins over Tadic, and surprises the entire Balkans. Serbia’s voters punished Boris Tadic by voting the nationalist Tomislav Nikolic. After declaring victory, Nikolic said that Serbia with him at the helm will not deviate from the European path.

The head of the "extreme right" in Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, won the presidential elections. Political analysts from Serbia say that Nikolic can more easily change the Serbian political stance towards Kosovo. The European Union congratulated Nikolic hours before the polls were due to close.
