Albania’s Pandeli Majko says that the future existence of Kosovo shouldn’t be concentrated upon the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. He considers that the overload of the importance of the dialogue should be ignored. The end of the supervised independence of Kosovo, according to Majko, will create a new momentum for Kosovo, which should be careful how it acts as it will create the perception the world has for the newborn.

Big difference of opinion have started to resurface inside Hashim Thaci’s ruling Democratic Party of Kosovo, since his first deputy chairman of the party Fatmir Limaj has launched the idea of reforming from inside the PDK. Constitutional changes regarding the issue of the President’s mandate and powers will appear for adoption at the Parliament of Kosovo on September 10th. But, they are not expected to receive the 2/3 of the necessary votes, due to the objections of the opposition Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK. Two main political rivals the PDK and LDK, have still differences in opinions on how should the issue proceed further, and therefore everything remains in abeyance.
