There were a record number of tourists visting the Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik during the first five months of 2012.
According to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the Adriatic city received more visitors than last year, which was also a record year.
Between January and June, Dubrovnik had 157,214 arrivals, which was a 12 per cent increase on last year.
The Tourist Board noted 493,167 overnight stays, a 17 per cent increase from the previous year. More than half the overnight stays were in May.
To keep its reform policy credible for investors, the government must find common ground with the IMF and look for a new arrangement, experts say.
