Croatian radio is reporting that Croatian Motorways, HAC, collected 19.4 million kuna (2.7 million Euros) over the holiday weekend.
Thousands of Croatians celebrated Passover on June 7 by taking Friday off and traveling over the 4-day weekend. Between Thursday and Sunday, 446,000 cars paid tolls.
June 7 also marked the increase in price for travelers paying tolls with cash or credit cards instead of with an electronic toll payment device, ENC. Since HAC announced the 15% increase in price, approximately 6,500 ENCs have been sold.
