Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, started his visit to Bosnia where he met the Presidency and the Prime Minister, political leaders and members of the Parliament. He said that the future of Bosnia is in the European Union and that he will help the country on its path to the EU.
OSLOBODJENJE
While meeting Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the Bodsnian Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic said that the UN is responsible for what happened in Srebrenica during the war. Mistakes that were made were given in a report in 1999 and they are related to injustice arms embargo, equalizing all sides in the war and bad estimation of slaughter that was ongoing in front of the eyes of the international community.
NEZAVISNE NOVINE
Bosnia is not investigating a case of bike dealers for whom the Austrian police said they stole 1.200 bicycles in the last two years in Carinthia. It is estimated that the criminal group imported bikes to Bosnia worth around 700.000 euro. Bosnian institutions claim that since the beginning of 2009 only 758 bikes were imported to the country which means that some were smuggled.
