The authorities in Tirana on Friday extradited a Kosovo Albanian man to the US, where he will face human trafficking charges.
Albanian police said that they transferred Hektor Kelmendi, aka Demi Niqki, to US custody on Friday morning. The United States requested his extradition on charges including human trafficking, manslaughter and murder.
Kelmendi was detained on an international arrest warrant on November 4, as he tried to cross from Kosovo to Albania at the Morine border crossing.
